Nice to know that music finally has its savior

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

I like Blink 182. I slowly grew less interested in them after I got out of high school and was not suprised when they broke up a couple of years ago. I heard they were forming new bands and I casually checked both of them out.

Tom Delonge’s new band sucks. But in this hilarious video, he goes on Larry King Live and tells him how important his music is and how he wants to change the world with it. If he thinks that playing power chords with a delay pedal is musical and important, then so be it. Let him attempt to change the world while we all just laugh at ridiculous he and his music are. It’s nice to know that the guy who wrote a song called “I Want To Fuck a Dog In The Ass” only a few years ago is now music’s savior. What a joke.

I am having trouble putting videos on here, so I will put the link down. Randall is Asian and probably knows how to do it.

IRRITATION

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Ok so I was going to write a review and have pictures of the party at 1629 6th street where 400 Blows, Triclops and Qui played. David Yow from the Jesus Lizard even showed up and sang a few numbers. Incredible show. The problem is I took some amazing photos on a good friend’s, friend’s camera, who came with us to the party about 3 weeks ago. I emailed or messaged her 7 times to send the photos. I am thinking about posting something on a milk carton saying have you seen this girl? Occasionally there is a myspace bulletin from her. Anyway here is her MYSPACE message her and say Randall needs pictures!

Honorable Mention-Psychedelic Furs- Talk Talk Talk

Talk Talk Talk

Talk Talk Talk by the Psychedelic Furs is an album definitely worth owning. This is yet another album the genius Martin Hannett can add to his list of amazing albums produced. Instantly when this album was released it became an instant classic taking punk rock music to a new pop level. Personally I think this is the only album where the horns had an incredible addition to the music. After this album was released the Furs just made albums trying to be this one. This album also includes the “good” version of Pretty in Pink. With plenty of catchy powerful songs Talk Talk Talk should be a definite add to anyone’s collection.
