Shoegaze in LA

The Autumns
The Autumns

If you know me I am a huge shoegaze fan. Recently there has been a trend of bands trying to do this. Sorry if I bash your band on this ,but seriously I am doing you a favor in the long run. Honestly we don’t need any other bands that, make boring music. When you listen to My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, The Jesus and Mary Chain, or Ride you notice their albums are not boring and their music actually has some heart to it. It’s not defined by elements like most people think it is. Like what our good boy Daniel Lanois said, “Music with heart will never go out of style”. There are bands like this who just because they are slow and boring they call themselves shoegaze. I honestly want to shoot myself in the foot hearing this . I would honestly rather spend my time basket weaving or something a little more exciting. Or those are all those bands like this who rip off Radiohead and give a mediocore rendition of Thom’s vocals and copy the keys exactly. Then call themselves indie. What the fuck come on guys, quit wasting everyones time and money. But honestly there is still one band out here who has been doing something that is still kinda shoegaze but has a lot of heart, beautiful tones, and melody behind it. That band is The Autumns. Click on their name check them out they are great and still to this day do not get enough credit. I highly suggest checking them out or buying any of their albums. Plus their guitar player Mr. Koroshec teaches english or history to the old guitar player in the band I was in.
