Computer DJS
Wednesday, April 9th, 2008Ok there are a lot of people who just don’t understand the what it means to keep it real when DJing. First of all hence the name. DJ=Disc Jockey. Keyword DISC. It can be Wax or CDs. Wax is cooler ,but you are still keeping it real. It’s not macbook jockey. Now with computers I still respect people who rock Ableton that shit is basically a sampler on steroids and is only as good as the person using it. Basically A DJ who rocks wax is equal to the dude who plays a Fender Straight out of a Marshall 1/2 stack. A DJ who rocks a computer is that lame dude from guitar center who plugs their PRS into a line6 pod, records the shit thru many fruity digitech pedals into their recording rig. Next they put that shit on DAT so when the song starts they press play on the dat machine and they got an extra guitarist live. BASICALLY YOU GOT NO FEEL. It shows in the music too. Like what the man Lanois and Bob Dylan said “Money can’t buy you feel”. And if you disagree, just remember, computers made J LO possible. Anyway keep it real.
