Cosmic Kids Reginalds Groove
It was about 2 years ago when I first booked the Cosmic Kids to DJ Payday’s first night at the old Jimmy’s Lounge in Hollywood. At the time I was just physced there were other young guys in the their early 20′s who were as passionate about collecting cosmic disco vinyl as I was. Finally someone else in their 20s who thought Moroder and Gino Soccio was awesome. Last summer I was talking with Dan briefly about logic etc. and he mentioned he’s been looping some Steely Dan, making edits, etc. Now fast forward one year later and they have probably one of the hottest 12″s out in the nu-disco world titled Reginald’s Groove, that came out on Throne of Blood April 4th. With remixes from top shelf disco artists such as LA’s own Classixx, The UK’s Bicep, and Juan MacLean this is one of the few 12″s that you willl go down in your vinyl bag as a secret weapon.
